| | | Bird Cherry (Prunus padus) Bird Cherry is a small tree found naturally in the north, with pretty white flowers and bittersweet edible cherries which birds and small mammals crop. It's a very hardy tree that helpfully unlike the Wild Cherry does not sucker, so is often found on its own. Cherries are small deciduous trees, with beautiful blossom in the spring and colour in the autumn. Its ornamental, compact form and all year round interest makes the Bird Cherry a useful garden tree. Provenance certificates are available on request for the smaller size Bird Cherry trees, which are from the Southwest of England.
