Common Bluebell (Hyacinthoides non-scripta)

The Common Bluebell, Hyacinthoides non-scripta, or, confusingly, 'Harebell' (now more likely the common name for Campanula rotundifolia) as the Elizabethans knew it as, is increasingly disappearing as the Spanish Bluebell cousin and its hybrids take over. Unlike them, our native bluebell has delicate, scented flowers, and is an important early nectar source for several butterflies and bumblebees. As a woodland flower, bluebells need shade from the summer sun. Our bluebell bulbs are lifted to order from August to October. We also supply British bluebell seed.
Flowers: April - May

100 bulbs £30.00
500 bulbs £120.00
1000 bulbs £220.00

We donate half of our profit from sales of Bluebell bulbs to The Bumblebee Conservation Trust
