As opposed to Bumblebee nesters, these work remarkably well for bees - solitary bees like Mason Bees, Leaf-cutter Bees, and Woolly Carder Bees. There are surprisingly few safe sites for them in today's garden, and they are not only attractive insects but helpful pollinators. Hang the nester about a metre or higher from the ground, in a sunny and sheltered spot.
