| | | Mahonia Mahonia is a fragrant architectural plant, with spikes of yellow flowers, glossy leaves. These varieties provide a lovely splash of colour in shady areas and a really good nectar source in the dead of winter for bees. Mahonia is a very good berrying plant for birds along with berberis.

We sell a number of plants in this section which provide important late and early nectar and pollen, for which also see our bulbs and non-native trees. For butterflies, although you will find some nectar plants in this section which are also food plants for caterpillars, you will find many more in wildflower plugs, wildflower seeds, and native trees and shrubs.
