 | | | Mazzard - Bottler Bottler is an attractive variety of edible wild cherry (Prunus avium), or "mazzard". Bottler is a vigorous tree of tall and dense habit, like Dun, although it is less large and flowers slightly later. It produces small cherries. Mazzards are now very unusual trees, historically associated with the West Country, and the varieties we sell were found in North Devon. Mazzards were, however, once found across England. Michael Gee has written a helpful introduction, "Mazzards" (The Mint Press).
