| | | Meadow Anywhere Seed Mix This is a native wildflower and grass seed mix based on our Special General Purpose mix, which we supply and designed for the lovely Hilliers. The mixes are also sold in 10g packets, from which £1 from every sale gets split between Butterfly Conservation and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. It was originally designed for urban gardeners, but we started to field enquiries for it in bigger volumes.... so here it is.
Meadow Anywhere is an unusual seed mix insofar as it is a 60:40 mix of wildflowers to grasses, rather than the standard 80:20, and includes annual as well as perennial wildflowers, which will give you colour in its first year. The species in it have also partly been selected for ease of cultivation and to give a long flowering season.

We strongly recommend reading up meadows before buying seed - see our resources section, brief guide to preparation and aftercare, and illustrative projects. We also run courses on meadow creation and management and offerdesign and ecological survey services. Although our seed has high germination rates, you need to be careful about initial care and establishing an annual regime. Don't be put off though - once you get the hang of it it's pretty straightforward.
