Mixed plug selection for heavy soils

Tray of 104 6cm native British plug plants for heavy soils, selected from a mixture of:
Autumn Hawkbit, Cowslip, Devils Bit Scabious, Glaucous Sedge, Gipsywort, Lesser Knapweed, Lesser Spearwort, Meadow Rue (pictured, courtesy Gwirrel's Garden, Meadowsweet, Ragged Robin, Red Clover, Rough Hawkbit, Yarrow

** Please note: We may substitute other suitable plants depending on availability and season **

These native plug plants work out at 63p a plant inc. VAT and delivery. Use 5 per square metre. This is a useful way of quickly establishing plants, particularly in existing sward and/or for smaller areas - see our Plug Planting Guide for details, or Sarah's Wildflower Bank for an illustration. Native British plants aren't just attractive and good sources of nectar, but they're also essential foodplants for butterfly and moth larvae. Visit Natural England's native plant database to view a picture of each plant and see which animal species it is associated with.

Our suppliers are signatories to the Flora Locale code of practice, as are our wildflower seed mix suppliers. All the plants are grown from guaranteed native seed, most of which is collected by the suppliers themselves.
