 | Special Projects We are donating half of the profit from some products to individual appeals or conservation projects. These donations are held in a seperate account administered by the Charities Trust before they are distributed. Do let us know if you have a project or appeal you would like us to support.
We are currently raising money for the Wittenham Wetlands project, run by the Northmoor Trust in Oxfordshire. The project aims to create a landscape exceptionally rich in amphibians and other wetland species. Through the project, the will restore and enhance existing wetland habitat, and diversify and create new wetland habitat, including ponds, wet woodland and wetland scrapes in the immediately surrounding area. Over a wider landscape, it will create a dispersed network of ponds and wetland habitat, with the aim of creating new populations of amphibian species. The project will directly benefit two UK BAP priority habitats, ponds and wet woodland; and two species, the Great Crested Newt and Common Toad. It will indirectly benefit three priority species of bats, five birds and a number of invertebrates.
