 | | | Perennials for Sun or Part Shade: Stonecrop (Sedum) A really good bee plant in particular, as like Asters it flowers so late in the season, just before the ivy comes out. Very trouble free, its huge numbers of tiny flowers are enjoyed by butterflies as well. We include sedums in both our honeybee and butterfly plant collections. Both cultivars are particularly recommended for nectar; 'Autumn Joy' is shown, just coming into flower, covered in our honeybees. More exotic cultivars are often used for green roofs, as sedum are very drought tolerant.
