 | | | Perennials for Sun or Part Shade: Thistle, Globe (Echinops)
Long flowering, unfussy perennials that provide nectar for bees and butterflies and seeds for finches. They will grow in most soils types so long as it is well drained, and need full sun. Good cut flowers, and the stems are architectural over the winter.
Varieties:
bannaticus: deep blue
bannaticus 'Taplow Blue': clear blue
ritro 'Veitch's Blue': only 90cm high
If we cannot find exactly the variety you would like in the nursery at the moment and we can find a very close alternative, we hope it is acceptable to supply it in lieu. Before we do so, however, we will ask you if you would be happy to accept a substitute.
