| | | Wood Anemone (Anemone nemorosa) Wood Anemone (Anemone nemorosa), or Windflower, is a beautiful native flower found in ancient woodland. It prefers damp soils and light shade, and flowers in early spring before the leaf canopy closes. Wood Anemone flowers are delicate and white, nodding in the wind, and provide a good source of pollen for honey bees and bumblebees. Plant horizontally, up to an inch below the soil. We sell Windflowers in units of either 20 or 100, which are lifted to order in a nursery in Wales. Please note that these rhizomes are despatched in late autumn to early spring.
