Plant Collections for Bumblebees, Honeybees, Butterflies, and Other Pollinators

Our herb suppliers are leading experts in Medieval and early Renaissance gardens, and have advised on the plant selection of our lightly themed collections. The collections’ historical context allows us to promote some unusual and half-forgotten herbs and native plants, and true species rather than less useful and less wildlife friendly modern cultivars. We give half of our profit from their sales either to the Apiculture Laboratory at Sussex University or the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

The butterfly and honeybee collections consist of a selection of traditional and easy to grow cottage garden perennials, picked to provide pollinators with nectar flow for as long they need it. We give half of the profit from sales of them to the British Beekeepers' Association. and Butterfly Conservation.
