Orchard Trees

Natural England have calculated that over 60% of our orchards have been lost since the 1950's. Where we are - in Somerset - their demise has been particularly obvious. They have recently been added to the list of "priority" habitats needing protection because of their high natural biodiversity. There are over 2,500 varieties of apple tree in the UK, which represents a rich and ancient local heritage.
You will find a collection of perry pears in our fruit tree collections; if you are interested in a particular variety of these lovely trees please let us know and we may well be able to help. Our other top fruit includes cherry, crab apple, damson, gage, medlar, mulberry, pear, plum and quince trees.

...the trees arrived safely on Saturday - beautifully wrapped and protected and with fab roots...Thank you for your interest and help which truly added to the pleasure of this planting. (Joy, Somerset)
