Having lovely time in Italy - Piedmont. Just down road from Slow Food HQ, so unsurprisingly top ethnic eats from bucolic markets. Barolo, salami, cheese, honey. All well and eating, drinking masses. Wished spoke some Italian as folk seem very nice. Masses of wildflowers & insects, some familiar some exotic - Mediterranean beasties taste of things to come in UK? Strange no songbirds though. Seems eerily quiet. Sign of things to come in UK? Back next week - see you then.
