Our destruction of ancient wildflower meadows - an estimated 97% since the 30s - has had a catastrophic impact. Unimproved grassland is one of the most important of our native habitats, and its disappearance seems to be a major factor in recent declines and extinctions of a number of species. Pesticides have also contributed to the problems faced by pollinators and other wildlife higher up the food chain.
Head over to Ponds and Rivers to see our lovely aquatic wildflowers. Please note that our plants and seeds have been nowhere near a neonicotinoid. They are sourced from a network of expert small growers and harvesters across the UK.
