We sell a number of exotic "trees for bees", many of which are recommended by the The British Beekeepers' Association because of their value as nectar and/or pollen sources for honey bees (we've also included the spectacular Foxglove Tree (pictured) for bumblebees). Not only are they very striking and sometimes fragrant specimen trees, but some of them have unusual flowering seasons, adding to their visual appeal in the garden and supplementing the forage available for bees in spring and summer from native trees and other plants. We have listed them by their Latin names rather than English synonyms.
None of our trees, plants, bulbs or seeds have been treated with neonicotinoid based pesticides.
We donate half of our profits from most of our trees for bees to the Apiculture Laboratory at Sussex University.
