Wildflowers for loamy soils
Wildflower plug plant selection for loamy soils
Tray of 104 native British plug plants for higher fertility loamy soils, selected from a mixture of: Common Catsear, Cowslip, Greater Knapweed, Great Burnet, Lady's Bedstraw, Lesser Knapweed (pictured), Oxeye daisy, Ribwort Plantain, Rough Hawkbit, Small Scabious, Sulphur Clover, Yarrow. We recommend planting at 5 plants per square metre. If you're planting into an existing sward clear a small circle around the plugs to keep the grass away while they establish.
** Please note: We may substitute other suitable plug plants depending on availability and season **
One tray costs £75, and two or more are £70 each, meaning these small (55cc) native wildflower plug plants work out at 52p/plant before VAT and delivery. This is a useful way of quickly establishing plants, particularly in existing sward and/or for smaller areas. These British wildflowers aren't just attractive and good sources of nectar, but they're also essential foodplants for butterfly and moth larvae.
All these plants are grown from guaranteed native seed, most of which is collected by the suppliers themselves. They're grown without the use of peat, fungicides or pesticides.
We donate half of our profit on sales of this selection of native British wildflower plugs to Butterfly Conservation
