Catalpa bignonoides is a native of the southeastern US. It has large leaves like the Foxglove Tree but is in leaf by the time it flowers. Bizarrely, these leaves secrete nectar. Its large white flowers are followed by thin, bean like pods. Recommended by The British Beekeepers' Association.
