Snow Crocus (Crocus chrysanthus) Bulb Collection
Crocuses provide an excellent and important source of early pollen for honeybees in particular. This species grows wild in Greece and Turkey, and like Crocus tommasinianus blooms particularly early. This selection of 200 bulbs consists of 40 bulbs of 5 varieties.
Flowers: January-March
Delivery: September-November
Our crocus collections are sourced from Holland, as native UK populations aren't available commercially. The grower we use has the Milieukeur label of environmental quality, however, which includes a ban on the use of neonicotinoids, for example.
