Pond Story Update

You might remember our planting up the new wildlife pond at William's school last year. Since when it has survived all sorts of climatic vicissitudes, but is now a testament to how quickly ponds can attract all sorts of lovelies. This spring's warm drought (is this going to become a recurring and unwelcome feature?) has meant the flora is behind - pics to follow when the Fleabane is out - but the fauna is fabulously forward. This point and shoot photographer didn't manage to catch the Broad Bodied Chaser whizzing around or the Banded Demoiselle, but he couldn't miss the Mason Bees in the bank and two other lovelies, a Common Blue Damselfly and a Large Red Damselfly:
