I'm very pleased to say we have become associate corporate members of Somerset Wildlife Trust through their Somerset Pride programme. This is an innovative scheme, designed as much to involve the private sector in the work the Trust is doing as it is to raise funds for it. As we haven't been working with any of the Wildlife Trusts previously it is a great opportunity to start to get involved, and what better way than to promote our local area as well. The local Chamber of Commerce is also supporting the project, which is just the sort of partnership to be encouraged - not only in these straightened times, but also longer term. Everyone should win from it. I look forward to developing our relationship with the Trust and upgrading our membership when we can afford to!
