Some of the charities supported by Habitat Aid
In the years 2016-2018 we donated a total of £36,409 to charity. We commit to giving a minimum of £500 in cash and/or benefits in kind to each of these charities in 2019:
- The Hawk and Owl Trust
- The Bumblebee Conservation Trust
- Amphibian and Reptile Groups' 100% Fund
- Freshwater Habitats Trust
- Butterfly Conservation
- Common Ground
- Apiculture Unit, University of Sussex
- The Tree Council
- Gardening for Disabled Trust
- National Hedgelaying Society
We've also helped sponsor events like the Herpetofauna Workers Conference and National Biodiversity Network conference, as well as supported individual habitat conservation appeals and conservation projects. These have included local initiatives like Manor Green College in Sussex, Alderney WT, Thorne & Hatfield Moors, Kingcoed Meadow project, Community policing in London, Dorset WT Marine Fund and the Newquay Orchard project. In Somerset - local to us - the Long Sutton Support Centre, Glastonbury Abbey Wildlife Station and Carymoor. We've also helped fund a bumblebee ID app to help raise funds for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
Do let us know if you have a project or appeal you would like us to help.
We're corporate members of several of the charities we support as well, and also of the National Biodiversity Network.
