Dutch Crocus (Crocus vernus) Bulb Collection

Crocuses provide an excellent and important source of early pollen for honeybees and their new brood in particular. The Dutch Crocus has large blooms later than Crocus tommasinianus and will also naturalize easily in grass.

This selection of 200 bulbs consists of 40 bulbs of 5 varieties, currently:

  • 'Flower Record'(purple)
  • 'Blue Ocean' (violet-blue)
  • 'Jeanne d'Arc' (white)
  • 'Pickwick' (white/purple) 
  • 'Remberance' (purple)

Flowers: March-April

Delivery: September-November

Our crocus collections are sourced from Holland. The grower we use has the Milieukeur label of environmental quality, however, which includes a ban on the use of neonicotinoids, for example.
