Early Crocus (Crocus tommasinianus) Collection
Crocuses provide an excellent and important source of early pollen for honeybees and their new brood in particular. Crocus tommasinianus self seeds well and blooms from January. It will tolerate most situations and soil types.
This crocus selection consists of 200 bulbs, 50 bulbs of 4 varieties, currently:
- 'Crocus tommasinianus': pale lilac to purple
- 'Barr's Purple': deep purple
- 'Ruby Giant': large, violet (see picture)
- 'Whitwell Purple': prolific, reddish purple
Please note that these bulbs are despatched between September and November.
