Scilla verna is found in coastal locations across the UK (I snapped this one in Cornwall) typically in shorter swards, although it also makes a lovely little garden plant for open well drained sites. Its grasslike leaves means that, when not in flower, it's pretty much invisible to the casual observer. It only grows to a few cms but has a charm all of its own.
