Plum Tree - Kirke's

This handsome purple blue plum was named by nurseryman Joseph Kirke in London, though it's not clear where he found it. It has excellent flavour and a pleasing spreading habit. It needs a sunny sheltered site to prosper and is self-sterile, so needs a pollinator. Will prosper in the drier conditions of the east of the country.

They will grow to a mature tree of around 3.5m

All our plum trees, including Kirke's, are bare root, so they are only available between November and April. During lifting season, there will be a delay between placing the order and dispatching due to pressure of orders, which are dealt with in date sequence, and the weather. Orders taken from June-October will be confirmed in late October/ early November after a nursery stock take, for dispatch from November.
