The President plum was raised by the famous Rivers nursery in Sawbridgeworth. Awarded the 'Award of Merit' by the RHS in 1895 and attained a 'First Class certificate' in 1900. President plums are bluey purple, large and tasty - equally good for eating or cooking. Like most plum trees they are self sterile and will need a suitable pollination partner.
These plants will grow to around 4m tall, and require no staking.

At the height of the lifting season - between November and March - there may be up to a month's delay between placing the order and dispatching due to pressure of orders, which are dealt with in date sequence, and the weather.
