Amelanchier lamarckii (or canadensis), Snowy mespilus, is a small, highly decorative North American tree - perfect for smaller gardens. They're fully hardy and will grow in a wide range of soils and conditions, including light shade. White star shaped flowers in spring, edible black berries in summer (which give it the synonym "Juneberry tree"), and pretty red/orange autumn foliage.RHS AGM.
