A traditional cavity nester design but built with a really high level of durability and integrity (hence the 20 year guarantee). The front-facing hole is appropriate for many of our most common garden birds and has a stainless steel surround, to protect from invasive woodpeckers and squirrels.

Siting Your Bird Box

Fix your nestbox 1m - 3m off the ground, facing away from the prevailing wind. That's typically going to mean between North and East in the UK, which is also going to mean the box is shaded from the summer sun.  Look for a site where the entrance hole isn't going to be obstructed. There are lots of good information sources online about this, but if you wanted just one have a look at https://www.nestboxweek.com/

The box has a simple cleaning panel (see the image), and it's best to hoick out old nest detritus every winter. Bear that in mind when your putting it up! Don't treat the box to weatherproof it, by the way; it's plenty durable enough.
