Viper's Bugloss (Echium vulgare)
Viper's bugloss (Echium vulgare) is perhaps the Bumblebees' favourite wildflower and a nectar magnet for butterflies and moths. Its bright blue trumpet flowers give a lovely show from June to September. Drought resistant, bugloss prefers light sandy soils. Found in several of our wildflower mixes, Viper's bugloss also looks good in a formal garden and en masse. We supply Viper's bugloss in our selected wildflower trays and seed mixes, and we also sell it on its own here as 55cc plug plants.
