Stella is self-fertile, with sweet dark red cherries like Cherokee .It was about the first of modern self-fertile cherry cultivars, and produces good regular crops of attractive high quality fruit. This is the variety you will see most often in supermarkets! Crops in high summer. Introduced from Canada relatively recently, but a good pollinator for traditional English varieties. Good for northern climes too. The trees themselves are vigorous and relatively disease resistant. RHS AGM.

All our cherry trees are bare root. At the height of the lifting season - between November and March - there may be up to a month's delay between placing the order and dispatching due to pressure of orders, which are dealt with in date sequence, and the weather. Orders for Stella cherry trees from March to September are confirmed in late October/ early November ready for dispatch from November.
